A LITTLE MATH. A LOT OF SUNSHINE.
Your electricity bill is a good place to start.
Get a first estimate for your home.
A planning estimate, not a quotation. Your actual output and savings depend on your roof, location, usage and electricity tariff.
Assumes 120 kWh per kW each month, a target of 80% bill offset, and 100 sq ft per kW. Size is rounded up to a whole kW. Savings are capped at 80% of your entered bill, exclude fixed charges and assume generated energy offsets purchases at your tariff. Actual net-metering credits differ. Standard eligible residential subsidy: ₹30,000/kW for the first 2 kW, then ₹18,000 for the next kW, capped at ₹78,000. No household subsidy is included for commercial properties. Roof suitability and current scheme rules must be verified.

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING
There's no such thing as a small question
when it comes to your home's energy.
A standard on-grid system switches off during an outage for safety. Backup requires a compatible hybrid inverter, battery and an appropriately designed backup circuit. Ask for a separate backup assessment.
As a planning guide, allow around 100 sq ft of usable, shade-free roof area per kW. Actual space depends on panel efficiency, tilt, row spacing, access and the structure. A site survey determines the final layout.
Central assistance is for eligible residential grid-connected rooftop systems under the scheme. Domestic-content requirements, DISCOM approvals, portal registration and other current rules apply. Commercial systems do not receive this household subsidy.
The timeline depends on the site survey, equipment availability, local approvals and net-metering. Your proposal should set out the expected schedule; commissioning is subject to your DISCOM.
Solar can reduce grid purchases, but fixed charges, taxes and night-time consumption may remain. Savings depend on sunlight, your usage and the local net-metering rules. A zero bill is not guaranteed.
Panels need periodic cleaning and electrical inspections. Product and performance warranties differ by manufacturer and model; inverter and installation warranties are separate. Confirm all warranty terms in your final quotation.
